CYBERBULLYING (1/3)

Let's talk about a horrific form of bullying- the one that causes the maximum harm right in the safety of our own homes- Cyber Bullying.

Cyberbullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person. By definition, it occurs among young people. When an adult is involved, it’s called cyber-harassment or cyberstalking, a crime that can have legal consequences and involve jail time.

At first, people disregarded it as just 'teasing'. It was only brought to the mainstream after online harassment led to multiple cases of mental illness & Self harm by otherwise healthy, happy & productive young people. The Web allows a false sense of security. The bullies feel emboldened to reveal their ugliness behind the guise of anonymity online.
They do not need physical access to their victims to do unimaginable harm.
